Bay Custom Auto works on Jefferson Avenue in Newport News, handling both ends of the trade: the maintenance and repair that keeps a vehicle running, and the custom work that makes it yours. Those are different disciplines and not every shop does both well.

- Check-engine faults and intermittent electrical problems traced rather than guessed at — particularly important on a vehicle that has been modified.

- Routine servicing on daily drivers and on project vehicles that still have to get to work on Monday.

No. A lot of the work here is ordinary repair and maintenance on daily drivers.

How long does custom work take?
Longer than repair work, and largely determined by parts. You will be given a realistic timeframe rather than an optimistic one.
Do you work on older vehicles?
