About the shop
The difference is in the fit. Van's has been proving it since 1990.
Van's Alterations is at 238 North Battlefield Boulevard in Chesapeake, near Greenbrier and the Great Bridge area, and has been listed in business for thirty-six years. Neighbors recommend it to each other by name, which is the only advertising a tailor really needs.
The work runs from everyday hems to wedding gowns and military uniforms. Every alteration is pinned on you and checked on you — a fit that is right on the hanger and wrong on the body is not a fit.

Fitting
Pinned on you, not guessed from a chart. You see the change before it is sewn.
STEP 3
Pick it up, try it on
Every alteration is checked on you before you leave. If it is not right, it gets adjusted.
