Agreement
Using nexthing.net, or engaging Nexthing for services, means you agree to these terms. Specific engagements are additionally governed by a signed statement of work or master services agreement, which takes precedence over this page where the two conflict.
Scope of work
Paid engagements are scoped in writing before work begins. Work requested outside that written scope is treated as a change request, estimated separately, and requires your approval and an additional invoice before it starts.
Payment
Deposits and milestone payments are due on the schedule stated in your proposal or contract. Late payments may pause active work until the account is current.
Intellectual property
Deliverables become your property once paid in full, excluding our pre-existing tools, frameworks, and reusable components, which we retain and may reuse across engagements.
Limitation of liability
Nexthing's liability for any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement in the preceding twelve months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Cancellation
Either party may cancel an active engagement with written notice. Work completed and expenses incurred up to that point remain payable.
